"A Local Touch with a Global Reach"

The town of Stanfield was established in 1922 with the completion of the railroad line that ran north from Charlotte to Raleigh. The town was named after an engineer who helped with the completion of the rail line through what is now present day Stanfield. The community has several historical sites, nearby lakes and the Fork Lodge and Stables. The Fork offers world class equestrian facilities, as well as lessons, training and boarding. In addition to horseback riding, visitors can choose from a number of other activities including, mountain biking, fishing, shooting, hiking, golf and painting. The Lodge's beautiful modern accommodations include a Bed & Breakfast and rustic meeting rooms for business events. The Darrell Almond Community Park is located on North Main Street and provides the town an excellent place for recreation and family fun. The park includes a waterfront gazebo, picnic areas, walking trails, playground equipment and horseshoe pits. Community celebrations are held throughout the year and include, National Arbor Day, October Picnic in the park and the annual Christmas Parade the first Wednesday after Thanksgiving.
