"A Local Touch with a Global Reach"

The town of Stanfield was established in 1922 with the completion of the railroad line that ran north from Charlotte to Raleigh. The town was named after an engineer who helped with the completion of the rail line through what is now present day Stanfield. Located in the southeastern portion of Stanly County off of NC Hwy 200, Stanfield is only about a 30 minute drive from the Charlotte. It is predominantly a rural community with beautiful farmland and wide open pastures with plenty of wooded acreage.  Adjacent to the town of Locust, Stanfield is approximately a 15 minute drive from Albemarle. Old Stanfield is particularly charming with its old homes and tree-lined streets. The Pete Henkel Park is within the town limits and has two baseball fields, basketball and tennis court as well as picnic shelters.
